What we are
Pipet Eco-Cycle is a non-profit organization that aims to create a sustainable future by addressing the specific challenge of recycling non-hazardous pipet tips used in laboratories. In every scientific lab, hundreds of plastic, non-biohazardous pipet tips are used every day. Many of these pipet tips are thrown in the garbage instead of recycling. Our mission is to reduce plastic waste from scientific laboratories by providing an efficient and dedicated recycling program for non-hazardous used pipet tips. Through education, collaboration, and innovative recycling solutions, we aim to promote sustainability and environmental responsibility within the scientific community.

How do we work?
How do we work?
We move towards a sustanaibale future through implementing pipette recycle boxes between work benches in labs. With this addition, research participants can easily dispose of non-biohazerdous pipet tips for a better use.
Pipette Eco-Cycle works with labs in the Dallas and DFW area. After a period of time, we gather the boxes in each lab, and ship them to an external company that reuses the plastic for a positive, beneficial use.
We are partnered with the company Terra Cycle (www.terracycle.com) to help ship and recycle plastic pipette tips. Terra Cycle is also our provider of the recycle boxes in each lab.
